Anoni

Guide

Anonymize before AI, in 4 steps.

You want the help of an AI without handing it a client's name. Anonymize on your machine, ask the AI, bring your real data back. Nothing leaves your machine.

  1. 01

    Open your document in Anoni

Drop in a PDF, DOCX, TXT or Markdown file. It stays on your machine. Nothing is uploaded, online or off.

  2. 02

    Let Anoni anonymize it

The French CamemBERT model and a set of rules find names, addresses, SIRET numbers and the rest, then swap them for believable pseudonyms. All of it runs offline.

  3. 03

Copy the text into your AI

Paste the anonymized text into ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot. The AI reads a realistic document, never your client's real data.

  4. 04

    Decode the reply

Paste the AI's answer into Decode. Anoni restores your real data from the encrypted AES-256-GCM vault, kept on your machine.

Pseudonyms, not black bars

Anoni does not blank out your data. It replaces each item with a believable stand-in: a real-looking name, a plausible address. The AI reads a document that still makes sense, so its answer stays useful. The mapping back to your real data lives in the encrypted vault, on your machine.

What this guide doesn't promise

Automatic detection helps. It doesn't replace a read-through. On a sensitive document, check the result before you paste it anywhere. The tool helps. It doesn't decide for you.
